I can credit my amazing healing powers to either genetic mutation or adequate medical treatment, but for whatever reason my corneal abrasion is gone and I can resume wearing contacts. The worst thing about my eye check-up today was the eye-puff test. I do not understand why any medical provider would think that puffing air into a patient's eye would encourage maintaing one's eye health. Another odd part of this whole experience was the metallic taste in the back of my throat caused by the Ciprofloxacin drops. But I'm done with that, too.
I did feel a need to explain to some people that I normally wear contacts, and that I was obligated to wear glasses due to my eye injury. After saying that, I felt guilty for making it seem like I didn't like wearing glasses or I didn't like people who wore glasses. I actually blurted out to someone, "I'm not glassist or anything." Because I'm not. Really.
