Crystal Creations

A scientist prepares his notes

Limesone, a penny and some vinegar. We wait.

Two days later, small crystals appear as the vinegar evaporates.

By Friday, five days of crystals are evident.

The penny adds a fancy blue tint to the crystals.

  2. He also enjoyed testing magnetism with a lodestone, floating pumice and triboluminescence with tumbled quartz. It was an activity pack, and it made for a great day!
